Peanut Butter Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake

. Ingredients:

 

For the Filling:

 

8 oz cream cheese, softened

 

1 cup creamy peanut butter

 

3 large eggs

 

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

 

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

 

4 cups powdered sugar, sifted

 

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

 

For the Cake Base:

 

1 box chocolate cake mix

 

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

 

1 large egg

 

Directions:

 

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.

 

For the base, combine the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and egg until a thick batter forms. Press evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.

 

For the filling, blend cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Sequentially incorporate eggs, vanilla, and butter. Gradually mix in powdered sugar to a smooth consistency, then gently fold in chocolate chips.

 

Spread the filling over the base in the pan.

 

Bake for 40-50 minutes, until edges firm up but the center remains slightly gooey. Cool in the pan.
